Q: If I live outside the US and Canada how can I order your soaps?
A: We ship worldwide! Just email us with your desired order and your address. We’ll calculate shipping based on your product weight and location, and then invoice you through paypal to pay! Since most of our customers are from North America, we wanted to be sure shipping was calculated fairly for everyone.

Q: How can I make my soaps last longer?
A: Bloomin’ Belly Soaps, like all high quality soaps should be placed on a wooden soap dish between uses, to allow it to dry thoroughly. This will keep it from getting “mushy”, and extend it’s usability!

Q: Some of my soaps arrived and have a white film on them-what is that?!
A: The soaps that do this are usually the Silken Cocoa, and the Silken Supple Healing, which both have high percentages of Unrefined Cocoa Butter. It’s the same film you sometimes find on chocolate, and is easily removed by rubbing lightly with your finger or a dry cloth.

Q: When you say natural, and SLS/SLES free, what does that mean?
A: Bloomin’ Belly Soaps never uses any artificial scents, or additives. We use flowers, herbs, real vanilla, real cocoa powder, unrefined and fair-trade butters (like Cocoa Butter), and all of our products are free from SLS/SLES, which has possible links to health concerns. We also never add artificial colorants to our soaps, so our soaps are only colored by the natural additions, and possible beet root powder.

Q: I ordered 2 of the same kind of bar, and although they smell the same, they don’t look the same. Why is this?
A: Your two soaps came from 2 different batches, and with each kind of bar there is a range of color-shades that are normal. For example, the Silken Cool can be mostly white, with a little bit of green flecks, or a darker green color with specks. It’s all part of purchasing handmade items-a natural variation!

Q: Why Vegan?
A: Many of our friends are vegan, and the company’s founder is a long-time vegetarian, and we don’t want to use products that harm any living thing, which is why we use fair trade butters, and no animal products. For those of our customers who are vegan, yes we consider beeswax and honey to be non-vegan.

Q: If I have delicate skin, can I use your products?
A: Obviously, this would be tough to answer “across the board”, since there are so many causes of skin problems. We can say however, that our soaps are designed to be very moisturizing, are gentle for use on pregnant bodies, and many clients with sensitive skin have tried them with great success. We recommend something in the “Silken” family, and particularly Silken Supple Healing, which combines Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, and Calendula flowers which are all wonderful for helping the skin heal itself, and helping to prevent stretch marks!

Q: Can I get my shower/blessingway favors personalized?
A: There are ways to personalize your Blessingway/Shower favors, and you can learn more about that on the Blessingway/babyshower page. There are 3 kinds of favors we are currently offering, and various ways to personalize them to match a theme or color scheme. However, we don’t print off additional labels or etc., but we package our favors so that adding your own personalization is easy!

Q: How long does it take for my order to be shipped once I place an order online?
A: All orders are shipped within 7 business days of the order. How long it takes will depend on where you live. If you need it in a hurry, let us know and we'll do our best to accomodate your need.

Q: Can I track my package online?
A:  In order to keep shipping costs reasonable, this option is only standard in Canada and the US. You will receive an email with the tracking number once your order ships. If you live outside the US or Canada, the shipping can take up to 2 months, and cannot be tracked so please allow for this when placing your order. If you need the item faster, please let us know this when you place your order, and we can let you know your shipping options, and how much it will cost.

Q: How long does each soap size typically last?
A: The Mega Mamas in Bloom can last up to 9 months, the Mamas in Bloom for 5 months, and the Mini Mamas for 2-6 weeks. Again, this depends on how well they are cared for!

Q: Do you do custom-made soaps?
A: Yes! If you have a scent or shape that you’d really like to have, we can work with you to create the perfect soap to meet your needs. Even for custom orders we do not change our All Natural and Vegan policies, however the SLS/SLES free policy is negotiable, and if your soaps are for say, a Bed and Breakfast, you may not be concerned about pregnancy-safe essential oils, so we can broaden the scent possibilities! Q: Why do your pregnancy soaps have nipples? I mean wouldn’t your “target audience” drastically increase with just that one modification?
A: Our Company’s founder and the creator of Bloomin’ Belly Soaps answered this question this way:

“I did make these beautiful soaps lovely, and yes...sensual, deliberately.
I believe that pregnant women are powerful, beautiful, and SEXY!
When a woman is expecting, she is truly a Goddess-
I mean, what in the world is more Deity-like, than CREATING!?
I would never dream of giving the Venus of Willendorf a breast-reduction,
or of putting a mou-mou on Aphrodite-
So why would I desexualize the beautiful pregnant form!?
It should be honored, celebrated, and enjoyed!
(Besides, the "bumps" make a wonderful massage bar!)

The second part of the answer is simple. Sure it would expand our market, but these soaps were created to change a perception. We know there will be people who are not open to them and others who adore them. This is not only expected, it’s welcomed. To change perceptions, we need to challenge comfort-levels. We do this each time someone sees the soaps and makes an internal judgment about them!

Q: Can I pay with credit card, Money Order, or Check?
A: You are welcome to pay with Credit Card or e-Check through Paypal, though your order will not be filled/shipped until it clears your account. We cannot take credit cards over the phone, or Money orders at this time. We can take personal checks from Canada or the US, but you will need to wait for the funds to clear, which takes 30 days for US checks and 3 days for Canadian ones.

Q: I have a store and would like to carry your products. How do I get wholesale approval?
A:  Please call our toll-free number, and leave a message letting us know your store’s name and/or website address, and a phone number and good time to reach you. We will contact you ASAP, and get you started on our 2-part process!

Q: I would love to carry your products, but my store is very mainstream-will you just remove the nipples?
A: No, because that would go against everything Bloomin’ Belly Soaps stands for, and the purpose of our company! I have no problem however, with adding a “privacy ribbon”, which is essentially a wide ribbon around the “bust area” and tied at the back, which will allow for some “modesty”, and yet will get our message across. There is an additional fee for this, but it’s minimal.

Q: I’m interested in your beautiful Birth Beads. What are they made of, and what are they used for?
A: Thank you for your interest in our Bloomin’ Belly Birth Beads! Each bead is hand-designed with polymer clay, hand painted and sealed and then a Swarovski Crystal is put on the belly of every bead. Our Beads can be used by jewelry makers to do special pregnancy necklaces, or by Blessingway attendees as a gift to the Mother of Honor. It is also a great focal piece in a birthing necklace!
